CEA APPLAUDS FCC CHAIRMAN'S COMMITMENT TO AN OPEN INTERNET

The following statement, in response to the vote today by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), can be attributed to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® President and CEO Gary Shapiro:
“CEA applauds Chairman Genachowski's commitment to preserving and protecting a free and open Internet. The Chairman has worked to ensure that Internet users have choice and access to content, services, applications and devices. We look forward to working with the Commission to develop common sense rules that preserve openness without undermining incentives to invest in broadband infrastructure.”
