CEA Welcomes Bipartisan Legislation to Modify FCC’s ‘Sunshine’ Rule
Arlington, VA – 02/08/2013 – The following statement is attributable to Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association®, on the FCC Collaboration Act, bipartisan legislation reintroduced today in Congress to streamline decision-making at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC):
“We commend the bi-partisan sponsors of the common-sense “FCC Collaboration Act”. This simple rules change will improve the functioning of the FCC, reduce delays, and promote a more rapid decision-making process. We urge Congress to approve this bill expeditiously.”
