Arlington, VA – 03/26/2012 – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today released a compliance manual for its members regarding the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) Advanced Communications Services accessibility rules.
This manual, which is available only to CEA members, provides a guide to complying with the FCC rules that implement the statutory requirements for making advanced communications services more accessible to people with disabilities. The FCC adopted these rules in October 2011 as part of the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act.
“CEA has taken a leading role on accessibility issues and this manual further exemplifies our industry’s commitment to accessibility and regulatory compliance,” said Julie Kearney, CEA vice president of regulatory affairs. “We hope that members find the manual to be a valuable benefit of CEA membership.”
CEA members can download a copy of the compliance manual here. For more resources, members can visit members.CE.org.
