Arlington, VA – 04/27/2012 – The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today approved a Report and Order that provides a regulatory framework for channel sharing among television licensees in connection with incentive spectrum auctions. 
 
Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)^®, released the following statement regarding this regulatory action:
 
“The nation’s spectrum crisis is real and it is here. The FCC’s action today is a key step toward ensuring that additional spectrum for wireless broadband is available so that all Americans can enjoy the robust mobile broadband networks that our nation so desperately needs.
