Arlington, VA – 04/05/2012 –
Arlington, Va., April 5, 2012 - Following the signing of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act by President Obama, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today issued the following statement, attributable to Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA:
“Today we saw Washington put the interest of economic good and business before political agendas. The JOBS Act will encourage economic growth without any additional government spending or new taxes by removing regulatory blocks, thus making funding more accessible for entrepreneurs and innovators. But there is more work ahead to revitalize the American economy. CEA’s Innovation Movement and our 200,000 members will continue to seek passage of policies that support innovation and entrepreneurialism in America.”
