Global Industry Approves Revision of Supply Chain Communication Guide on Declarable Substance Content in Electrotechnical Products

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, DIGITALEUROPE, and the Japanese Green Procurement Survey Standardization Initiative (JGPSSI) today announced the release of the revised Joint Industry Guide - Material Composition Declaration for Electrotechnical Products - JIG-101 Ed. 4.1, an industry materials declaration guide that facilitates the reporting of material content information in electrotechnical products across the global supply chain. This document sets minimum requirements for material declaration for electrotechnical products but does not preclude companies from inquiring about the presence of additional substances when necessary.
