Top Initiatives:
CEA's PARA membership division is the home for specialty audio-video dealers. PARA seeks to raise awareness of the specialty audio-video dealer channel throughout the CE industry and among consumers. PARA is a management resource for dealers, offering education and information sharing.
PARA initiatives include:
- Create "PARA Dealer Difference" unique positioning statements to three target audiences: consumers, vendors, prospective dealer members
- Develop and launch a "PARA Education Series" of "portable" programming on various retail-related topics
- Develop an "Art of the Demo" repeatable presentation focusing on business opportunities afforded by new technology, such as gaming and/or IT/networking
- Sponsor six "PARA Survival Series" webcasts to be presented by The Retail Owners Institute; focusing on topics that help PARA dealers in a down economy
- Sponsor "PARA 24/7 All-Access" program giving CEA retail members access to all subscription services and resources provided by The Retail Owners Institute
- Sponsor PARA members-only resources
- Host a specialty audio and video dealer-vendor roundtable
- Deliver Professional Audio Video Specialist certificate program (study guide and tests) to retail salespeople
- Host 2010 International CES PARA Cocktail Party
