More than 2,000 companies currently make up the CEA member community. Membership in CEA has quadrupled in recent years, making CEA the most respected and recognized source for information, support and tools in the consumer electronics industry. CEA's unique member programs offer an environment for companies of all types to collaborate and contribute to the growth of the CE industry. Member programs focus both on CE technologies and types of businesses and offer promotional programs, research projects, industry training and more. CEA Volunteers
CEA leadership volunteer opportunities are available among many different areas of interest and on varying levels of commitment: from short term projects to our highest level of commitment as an active member of the Board of Industry Leaders, Division Boards or CEA Foundation Board.

Division and Council Board
CEA relies on volunteers of the Association for direction, goal-setting and governance. Whether you are looking to help develop CEA initiatives, create industry standards or influence legislation on behalf of the industry, there are many reasons to volunteer in one of Councils or Boards.

Board of Industry Leaders 
The CEA Board of Industry Leaders (BIL) is comprised of 45 seasoned industry leaders. Successful nominees are CXO's who have broad experience in the consumer electronics industry, have been active in CEA activities and who represent the industry’s interests. The Board meets three times per year in conjunction with CEA events.  
 
The Nominating Committee of the CEA Executive Board reviews these nominations and proposes a slate to the membership. Industry leaders are elected during the annual fall general membership meeting and may serve for a term of up to three years.

 CEA Foundation Board
The CEA Foundation began in 2009 as the charitable branch of CEA. The Foundation’s mission is to help people by providing education and research into use of consumer electronics in ways which contribute positively to society. To do so, the Foundation will focus on promoting and advancing the accessibility of consumer electronics for persons with disabilities. Foundation Trustees must have a vision to improve the world through consumer electronics. We welcome your expertise and enthusiasm to these active and talented groups of volunteers.

To be considered for a position on the CEA Foundation Board of Trustees, applicants must complete and submit the nomination form.
